Welcome to Star Institute

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your enrollment and participation in technical training courses offered by Star Institute. Our institute specializes in providing hands-on technical education in Multi-Skill Technician training, Car Mechanics & Driving, and Hotel Management programs.

Please read these terms carefully before enrolling. By completing the enrollment process and paying the course fees, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

Important Notice: These terms form a legal contract. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our admissions office before enrolling.

Acceptance of Terms

  • By enrolling in any course at Star Institute, accessing our website, or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
  • If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not enroll or use our services.
  • For students under 18 years of age, enrollment must be completed by a parent or legal guardian who accepts these terms on the student's behalf.
  • These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Star Institute.

Enrollment & Admission

Eligibility Criteria

  • Students must be at least 16 years old to enroll in our technical courses
  • Minimum educational qualification as specified for each course (typically 10th pass)
  • Valid government-issued ID proof (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, or Passport)
  • For specific courses, additional prerequisites may apply

Enrollment Process

  • Submit completed application form with all required documents
  • Pay the enrollment fee or initial installment as applicable
  • Enrollment is confirmed only after document verification and fee payment
  • Star Institute reserves the right to reject applications that don't meet eligibility criteria
  • Providing false information may result in immediate termination of enrollment without refund

Course Allocation

  • Batch assignments are based on availability and enrollment date
  • We reserve the right to merge, postpone, or cancel batches with insufficient enrollment
  • Students will be notified at least 7 days in advance of any batch changes
  • Course schedules are subject to change based on institutional requirements

Fees & Payment Terms

Fee Structure

  • Multi-Skill Technician (4 months): ₹13,000 (Full Payment) or ₹15,000 (Installment)
  • Car Mechanics & Driving (2 months): ₹10,000 (Full Payment) or ₹12,000 (Installment)
  • Hotel Management: Fee structure to be announced
  • All fees are exclusive of registration charges and material costs (if applicable)

Payment Options

  • Full Payment: Pay complete course fee upfront and receive ₹2,000 discount
  • Installment Plan: Pay in 2-3 installments (additional ₹2,000 processing fee applies)
  • Payment methods: Cash, Card, UPI, Net Banking, Cheque
  • All installments must be paid on or before the due date to avoid late fees

Late Payment Policy

  • Late fee of ₹100 per day will be charged after the due date
  • Classes may be suspended if payment is delayed by more than 7 days
  • Repeated late payments may result in termination of enrollment
  • Final certificates will be withheld until all dues are cleared

Refund Policy

  • Full refund if course is cancelled by the institute
  • 70% refund if withdrawal within 7 days of enrollment (before course start)
  • 50% refund if withdrawal within 15 days of course commencement
  • No refund after 15 days of course commencement
  • Registration and processing fees are non-refundable
  • Refunds will be processed within 30 working days

Student Responsibilities

Attendance & Participation

  • Maintain minimum 75% attendance to be eligible for certification
  • Attend all practical sessions and workshops as per schedule
  • Inform the institute in advance for any planned absences
  • Make up for missed classes as per institute guidelines

Code of Conduct

  • Maintain professional behavior with instructors, staff, and fellow students
  • Respect institute property, equipment, and facilities
  • Smoking, alcohol, and drug use are strictly prohibited on premises
  • Follow safety protocols during practical training sessions
  • Any form of harassment, discrimination, or violence will result in immediate expulsion

Academic Integrity

  • Complete all assignments and assessments independently unless group work is specified
  • Plagiarism and cheating in any form are strictly prohibited
  • Use of institute resources only for educational purposes
  • Violation of academic integrity may result in failing grades or expulsion

Institute Rights & Responsibilities

We Commit To:

  • Provide quality technical education as per course curriculum
  • Maintain qualified and experienced instructors
  • Provide necessary equipment and facilities for practical training
  • Issue valid certificates upon successful course completion
  • Assist with job placement support (not a guarantee)
  • Maintain confidentiality of student information

We Reserve the Right To:

  • Modify course content and duration to improve quality
  • Change instructors based on availability and expertise
  • Postpone or reschedule classes due to unforeseen circumstances
  • Suspend or expel students for misconduct or policy violations
  • Refuse admission or re-enrollment to any applicant
  • Amend these terms with 30 days notice to enrolled students

Termination & Suspension

Grounds for Termination

  • Violation of code of conduct or institute policies
  • Consistent poor attendance (below 75%)
  • Non-payment of fees beyond grace period
  • Providing false information during enrollment
  • Damage to institute property or equipment
  • Any illegal activities on premises

Termination Process

  • Written warning will be issued for first-time minor violations
  • Serious violations may result in immediate suspension or expulsion
  • Students have the right to appeal termination decisions within 7 days
  • No refund of fees upon termination due to student misconduct
  • All institute property must be returned immediately upon termination

Limitation of Liability

  • Star Institute provides technical training to enhance employability but does not guarantee job placement
  • We are not liable for any injuries sustained during practical training if safety protocols were followed
  • The institute is not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings on premises
  • We cannot guarantee specific course outcomes as they depend on individual effort and aptitude
  • Our liability is limited to the amount of fees paid by the student
  • We are not responsible for delays or interruptions due to natural disasters, pandemics, or government orders

Additional Terms & Conditions

Intellectual Property

  • All course materials, content, and resources are the intellectual property of Star Institute
  • Students may not copy, distribute, or sell course materials without written permission
  • Course content is for personal educational use only
  • Unauthorized recording of classes is prohibited

Privacy & Data Protection

  • Student information is collected and used as per our Privacy Policy
  • We may use student testimonials and photos for marketing purposes (with consent)
  • Students can request to opt-out of marketing communications at any time
  • Data security measures are in place to protect student information

Certificate Issuance

  • Certificates are issued only after successful completion of all course requirements
  • Minimum 75% attendance and passing all assessments required
  • All fees must be cleared before certificate issuance
  • Duplicate certificates may be issued with a fee of ₹500
  • Certificates are issued in the name registered during enrollment

Dispute Resolution

  • Any disputes shall first be attempted to resolve through mutual discussion
  • If unresolved, disputes will be subject to arbitration as per Indian Arbitration Act
  • Arbitration proceedings will be conducted in [Your City]
  • Courts of [Your City] shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any legal matters

Force Majeure

  • Institute is not liable for failure to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond reasonable control
  • This includes natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, riots, strikes, etc.
  • In such cases, the institute will make reasonable efforts to resume services
  • Pro-rata refunds may be provided if courses cannot be completed due to force majeure

Entire Agreement: These Terms of Service, along with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Star Institute regarding your enrollment and use of our services.
